Lawyer from the Universidad Externado de Colombia and LLM International Sports Law from the Higher Institute of Law and Economics of Madrid (ISDE).
Founding Partner of the firm AZP Abogados Consultores. He has extensive experience and a reputation as a sports lawyer. He served as General Counsel and Legal Director of the Colombian Major League Soccer. He also served as secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the Championship and the Players' Status Commission of said entity.
He also served as Legal Director of América de Cali S.A. from 2018 to 2021. He has extensive experience representing players, clubs, and intermediaries before the decision-making bodies of the FCF and FIFA, as well as the Court of Arbitration for Sport. He became a FIFA Agent in 2023.
He is currently a partner at Playlegal, a member of the Colombian Sports Law Association (ACODEPOR) and the Disciplinary Committee of the Colombian Equestrian Federation.
He has had experience in different law firms at the national level (Obando Cárdenas, Borrero & Arce) and internationally (Bailey Law Group, Washington D.C.).
He was a public official at the Superintendency of Companies, both in administrative functions (Special Groups) and jurisdictional functions (Commercial Procedures Delegation).
Alternatively, he works as a Professor of Sports Law at the Universidad del Rosario. He has also participated in various academic forums nationwide.
